Where does the student vibraphonist develop the playing experience. Unfortunately in most music, a written part does not exist. It is then up to the teacher to see that a part is available. The
simplest way is to double with another instrument. The teacher can evaluate which part and choose one or multiple part doublings. A great deal of work needs to be done if the vibraphone is going to be a formidable part of the instrumental program.
